Life & Soul

Tonight there's a battle in the skies,
Through the window's scratches
From the shrapnel of the storm
We see clouds flared by lightning.

New Year's Eve, the trio's fighting
The weather's rumble and crash
And we jive to its strum and drum.
Somewhere in another dimension

The people we might have become
Congregate, but we are allied
To the superfluous, the black centuries
Surround us with thunderflash.
