Cherry Blossom Views

I

Crazily dancing the cherry trees go
That were so sedate.

Now the wind scampers away
To far off Siberia.

II

A tree reveals its blossom's lace
Like a highkicking can-can dancer,

My feet plod the pathway
But I do not feel their steps.

III

Cherry blossom drifts down
On the young girls drifts down

Their skin is as white as petals
Cherry blossom drifts down.

IV

Under the cherry trees
Drinking saké,

White petals,
Red faces.
