Your next text

A million miles you’ve put between us
If nothing’s real where does that leave us
We’re in space with the earth beneath us
If I said what it’s like they wouldn’t believe us

You’ve got the bling and Beverly Hills pile
Instagram photos and Facebook profile
WhatsApp, Tik Tok, every second a smile,
You ain’t got a real life, you’ve just got a style

Take it, bake it, however you make it,
Speak it, think it, just for the sake of it,
Run it, gun it, you’re gonna break it,
Laugh it, smile it, whatever, you fake it

Who do you think you’re trying to be babe
I’m never gonna crash your next rave
I’d rather go out and dance on your grave
If your ship were sinking you’re not the one I’d save

I don’t care about your complexes
I don’t want to shop your multiplexes
I don’t care how your body flexes
I don’t want to know what your next text says

No, no, no, no

You don’t know the phobias you’re spreading
The side alleys of trash you’ve been led in
The inside/outside mess of your bedding
I’m not going to be wearing black at your wedding

You’re so vacuous behind your lipstick name
You’re so infamous and you call it fame
Could have been special but it’s just the same
Another heart in bits, but there’s no-one to blame

Swing it, wing it, you’re never gonna win it,
Take it, throw it, you’re gonna bin it,
Send it, end it, before you begin it
I got your number but I ain’t gonna ring it

I don’t care about your complexes
I don’t want to shop your multiplexes
I don’t care how your body flexes
I don’t want to know what your next text says
